What to Bring to the SAT: Complete Test Day Bag List
Every item you need (and shouldn't bring) on Digital SAT test day, from ID requirements to backup calculators and snacks.
Required Items
These are non-negotiable. Arriving without any of these can mean you are turned away.
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- Your printed or digital admission ticket
- A fully charged laptop or tablet with Bluebook installed
- A charger
Recommended Extras
Bluebook has a built-in Desmos calculator, but bringing an approved physical calculator as backup is smart in case of a tech issue.
- Approved graphing calculator
- Watch (non-smart, silent)
- Water bottle
- Small snack for the break
- A light layer in case the room is cold
Prohibited Items
Phones must be powered off and stored away. Smartwatches, earbuds, and scratch paper you brought yourself are all prohibited.
