SAT Raw Score Conversion Chart
The Digital SAT does not use one fixed raw-score chart. Adaptive routing and equating mean the same number of misses can produce different scaled scores.
Why raw-score conversion varies
College Board equates each test form. That means raw correct counts convert to scaled scores differently depending on form difficulty and module path.
- Module 1 determines easier or harder Module 2.
- Hard Module 2 unlocks the highest section scores.
- Easy Module 2 caps the section score below the ceiling.
- One hard question can be worth more than one easy question.
Planning ranges
Use these rough miss budgets only for planning.
| Target score | Rough total miss budget | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| 1500+ | 0-6 misses | Hard Module 2 accuracy |
| 1400 | 7-12 misses | Medium and hard consistency |
| 1300 | 13-20 misses | Avoid easy misses |
| 1200 | 21-28 misses | Build fundamentals |

FAQs
Is there an official Digital SAT raw score chart?
No single public chart works for every Digital SAT because adaptive routing and equating change the conversion.
Can I estimate my score from missed questions?
Yes, but only roughly. Use a score calculator for planning and Bluebook practice tests for the most reliable estimate.
